We have various events taking place at the Balham Lounge, from music nights to wine tastings.  Keep an eye on this page for details.

We are also available for private hire if you would like to host your own party.  Simply drop in and see us or get in touch via email.

Wine tasting evening: Wednesday 19th October

This month we are celebrating the New World with a fabulous selection of South African wines from the Kleine Zalze winery.  Hosted by our personal friend, SW local and industry veteran, Jo Thompson, this promises to be a great night.  Tickets are £25 a head and include all of the tasting wines, a generous serving of food and plenty of good fun in an intimate setting.  Sign up at the bar if you would like to join us.

Balham Food Festival: 26th September - 2nd October

We are delighted to be taking part in this year's festival. If you join us for a drink during that week you will receive a complimentary taster selection from our menu.  For the wine-curious, we will also have some of our more unusual wines for sale by the glass.  We look forward to welcoming you.

Acoustic session: Thursday 8th September

Fantastic local musician and Balham Lounge regular Gabi Hoskin will be joining us in the main bar from 7.30 pm. Do come and join us and enjoy his uniquely soothing selection of Brazilian folk tunes.

This September we are celebrating New Zealand Wine!

Not only will we be offering a selection of fabulous New Zealand wines in addition to our regular list, but we have a tasting planned too.

Wine tasting evening: Wednesday 7th September

Renowned New Zealand wine expert Tom Maling will be joining us for an evening of tasting and learning about New Zealand wines.  He has over three decades of experience in the beverage business and spends almost half the year travelling the globe educating people.  We are delighted that he will be joining us to share his experience and knowledge.  In his own words: 'New Zealand's unique maritime climate means that we are blessed with unparalleled fresh fruit flavours, for both our red and our white varietals'.  We couldn't agree more.

Pre-booking is required for this event.  Tickets cost £25 per head which includes all the wine you will be tasting and some sharing boards from our main menu.  Numbers are limited so don't delay!  Simply make your booking at the bar.
